Ooh De Lally
This body of work, consisting of a series of paintings and a mural, was created for Ooh De Lally, a nonprofit restaurant in Omaha’s Dundee neighborhood dedicated to supporting individuals transitioning out of incarceration through culinary training and employment.
The paintings reflect on themes of dignity, second chances, and the quiet strength required to begin again.
Drawing from the restaurant’s name, Ooh De Lally, a reference to Robin Hood, the work subtly engages ideas of justice, redistribution, and care for those often overlooked.
Each piece holds a sense of presence and humanity, honoring the individuals whose lives and labor shape the space, while existing as both a visual environment and a reflection of the restaurant’s mission to create opportunity and belonging.
